Easy Protein Snack Recipes

Making high protein snacks is one of the easiest ways to up your protein intake. Plus it helps curb any cravings for more unhealthy snacks. All of our proteins are excellent for cooking, baking or adding to other food.

Choc Protein Smoothie from Bec Hamer (@bechamer_)

Bec says this recipe has been one of go-to’s lately. It’s super easy and packs in heaps of nutrients. The protein is a great add in for smoothies to help keep you feeling fuller for longer

  • Ingredients:
  • Frozen banana
  • Frozen strawberries
  • Cyborg Sport Choc protein powder (any protein powder works here)
  • Almond milk
  • Cocao powder
  • Peanut butter
  • Handful of ice

Simply blend all the ingredients together and you’ve got a yum protein packed smoothie

Protein Muffins from Lily Robinson (Instagram: @that_girl_lifts)

Make massive trays of macro friendly muffins and never have to worry about snacks.

Ingredients for muffins (makes 4)

  • 20g Protein powder (I’m loving the Raw WPI vanilla flavour from @musclecoach)
  • 10g Coconut Flour
  • 20g Pure Pumpkin
  • 20g Apple Sauce
  • 46g Egg Whites
  • 30g Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 10g macadamias
  • 20g raspberries
  • 10g white chocolate chips
  • 2g Vanilla extract
  • 2g Baking Powder
  • 3g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

Ingredients for Frosting

  • 113g Plain Non Fat Greek Yogurt
  • 6g Sugar Free/Fat Free White Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 2g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Then add all your muffin ingredients into a bowl. Mix thoroughly until you have a nice thick batter. Put in oven for 8-10 minutes.
2. Mix all frosting ingredients together
3. Once cooled top with frosting
Macros: 6C/2F/4P – 53 calories
Lily’s Comment: This has to be one of the best snack hacks and they can be filled with literally any of your favourite fillings. My go to’s are different types of berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) or Reece’s peanut butter chips or different types of nuts. Give different combos a go!
